Rugged Cross Productions was created out of one mans dream and vision of the outdoors
through the viewfinder of a video camera. Owner and President Scott Stracener found his
calling later in life than most . At the age of 33 he gave up the everyday grind of 9 to 5 to
pursue an inner drive he could no longer ignore. A lifelong sportsman and avid bowhunter
with a love of whitetail deer hunting surpassed only by his love for Jesus Christ and love of
his family, Scott set out to turn his vision and determination in to reality.
Sitting in a tree stand on a cold November morning, video camera in hand and Mathews
compound bow hanging close by, the decision was made to leap feet first into producing
wildlife hunting videos. With formal training in photojournalism and countless hours afield
filming for himself and his hunting partners, Scott set forth with a solid goal and destination,
to produce high quality outdoor videos for television and personal libraries.
Years later, the dream and vision is alive and continuing to grow each day. We are actively
working on producing shows to air on The Outdoor Channel, The Mens Channel, and
